I
started racing in 2000 with my son Joe. He had a Boy Scout project that we
completed together. We were both hooked with the 4ft disk and bought a set
of plans from UH.
This sport is still in its infancy
and advancements in the design and engineering are still being created by
individuals. I like that I am able to put ideas into a machine that have
never been done before.

My ambition is to compete and win at the
international level.

get more from a racing craft and to finish 3rd in a competitive F1 field and
then 1st!

I
started racing
through my now wife Denise. When we first met
in 1998 she mentioned in passing about a race meeting in Southampton. I was
hooked there and then but she wouldn't let me get a craft until I spent a
year marshalling. I did!! The rest is history. I've met some really great
people through the club whom I now count among my best friends.
I love the adrenaline, the
camaraderie, the after race scene and the indescribable rush I
get from doing 60 mile an hour, 6 inches off the ground on a
cushion of air with no brakes!!

My ambition is to be the World Champion before
I get too old!!

born. I attended races with my family on and off in my early years and my
brother started racing. As soon as I was 16 I started too.
I've had some wins in Novices and since then any race completed without
injury or ploughing and going swimming is a success!!
I love the family feeling of the club - it's
what made me return after a few years gap.

My ambition is to not be bruised after racing
and to take home a trophy.

company Vortex Services. His ambition is to keep hovercrafting for as long
as possible!

I finally found
racing in 2009, caught the bug at Claydon and immediately wanted to race my
own craft. Spent the kids inheritance last Winter on an F35 and began racing
this season. It's exciting to watch as well as to race. I love the thrills,
spills and the great camaraderie.

My ambition is just to compete and be on the
